COVID-19 Vigilance

I was the Grand Teton National Park safety & health officer when the 2009 H1N1 pandemic hit. My response to this was absolute public health textbook and proactive. Meeting and collaborating with local, county, and state emergency management and public health officials regularly all while addressing issues in the park and our housing community to educate employees and the public of what preventative measures to take, what to do if you feel you are sick, where you can obtain masks, where you can obtain information, and to establish good numbers for employee masks and inoculations. It is imperative for the sake of public health that we are a learning community, and we take steps to minimize the current Pandemic COVID-19 impact as well as prepare for future ones.
